Anticipate Christ's Birth

Good morning Father God,

As I listen to the rain on the camper, I think of the life-giving water you are. You wash us. You nourish us. You temper us. You are the living water that sustains us. Through our faith and affirmation through baptism, we are one with you. You have sealed us into your kingdom. All we can give is gratitude. An Hallelujah. We have nothing that you have not already given us. So thank you. From our knees, thank you. From our hearts, thank you.

We anxiously anticipate the celebration of Christ’s birth. As we give this season, help us to understand the reason - because you were a gift to us. The ultimate gift of love and sacrifice.

Lord, as we go about the day, put on our hearts those people we need to love and forgive. Let us take on your yoke and help us though any pain or anger or resentment or whatever it may be. Give us a heart of love and forgiveness no matter the transgressions. And I pray that reciprocates. Let those we have sinned against forgive us. Mainly you, Lord Jesus.
