Focus on You

Lord, I come to you with mixed emotions as our men’s group tends to squirrel. We are in a battle everyday for your attention. Lord, I pray you help us keep that focus on you.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Lord, what is pure? Lovely? Admirable? What is excellent and praiseworthy? Help us to see those today. Not only see them but focus on them. We’ll be distracted and annoyed and have other emotions but Lord, redirect our hearts toward you. The evil one wants us to focus our attention on this world. Lord, help us focus on your kingdom. Help us to fight the battles of this world.

Lord, we love you and praise you. We thank you for the sunrise and sunsets. We thank you for the seasons and all autumn brings. We thank you for the people you put in our lives and those in front of us today. You are our one and only redeemer and savior. Thank you.
